An Introduction of Asia Packaging Center
The headquarters of Asia Packaging Center is located in Hangzhou Qianjiang New City. The headquarters covers 1 square kilometer at first planning construction. Also it was invested 2.5 billion US dollars. Eventually it consists of following 8 zones: science & education, research & development, trade, information, culture, finance, management and comprehensive service center.
The manufacturing base of Asia Packaging Center is situated in core zone of Hangzhou Bay Industrial Center, Yangtze River Delta Region (The most dynamic economy in China), which is the frontier to connect Shanghai. It covers 33 square kilometers at first planning construction. Qianjiang base covers 10 square kilometers (3 square kilometers at first construction), east of Yangtze River base covers 20 square kilometers (5 square kilometers at first construction), Haining base covers 3 square kilometers (1 square kilometer at first construction). The manufacturing base of Asia Packaging Center is the best platform of investment and venture to combine Hangzhou with Shanghai, and the base will take in total values of 12.5 billion US dollars. It will bring in 500 competitive packaging enterprises in the world, aiming at constructing a manufacturing base of world advanced packaging equipment, products and materials.
On Dec. 11th, 2005, 10 enterprises held a signature ceremony in Hangzhou, and the program had introduced about 0.4 billion US dollars. On Dec. 29th, 2005, some enterprises held a grand ceremony of joining the base in Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development District.
At present, the first 6 enterprises have started to construct with total investment value of RMB 2.6 billion. After construction, it is predicted that annual sales values will exceed RMB 5.2 billion, with annual benefit of over RMB 0.9 billion, and some projects that has been listed as national “863 Plan” packaging materials and equipment of high technology are likely to have their ranks among world competitive packaging enterprises.
